Message Peek for BlackBerry - Help and support:
Message Peek for BlackBerry previews incoming Email and SMS message the moment they arrive to the device. You do not to go into your inbox to read the message. You can reply, reply all, forward and delete directly from message preview. You can also mark the message as read, open your inbox and delete the message from Message Peek preview.
You can also use the following one click short keys for Message actions:
- r - Reply to the message (Opens BlackBerry Email composer)
- a,l - Reply to all recipients of the message (Opens BlackBerry Email composer)
- f - Forward the message (Opens BlackBerry Email composer)
- m - Mark the message as read
- del - delete the message from your inbox
- i - Open your inbox.
- c - Close all messages previews
The following features can be configured from Message Peek main screen:
- Show Email Messages - If checked, Message Peek will preview Email messages. Note that if you have more than one Email account (like BES,BIS and mail services like Yahoo and Gmail), you can set Message Peek to preview message to any one of the accounts.
- Show SMS Messages - If checked, Message Peek will preview SMS messages.
- Confirm message delete- Use 'del' key to delete the message from preview. If checked, a prompt will be displayed before deleting of a message.
- Show messages only when backlight id off- If checked, Message Peek will preview messages only you are not currently working with the device and the backlight is off.
- Show only messages from contacts - If checked, Message Peek will preview only messages sent from address book contacts.
- Show sender picture - If checked, Message Peek will display sender picture. (If exist in address book)
- Turn on backlight for Message display - If checked, Message Peek preview will light up the screen for 15 seconds when SMS/Email arrives. Note that the default for this feature is off. You might need to allow a device prompt saying Message Peek is trying to change device settings. This is standard BlackBerry prompt. Please mark as 'Always allow' in order for the backlight to turn on when message arrives. Note this will not affect any other application besides Message Peek.
- Message Peek fade out time - The Message preview can be set to fade out after configurable period of time.
- You can also set the Message Peek preview fonts and colors.
